    Review anonymous quotes

    Shops appear as handles only (e.g., FabShop-447) with badges, ratings, lead time, and price. Compare on the work — not the logo.

    Accept + pay 10% engagement fee

    Pay a non-refundable 10% engagement fee via Stripe on the accepted preliminary price. This commits both sides to the deal.

    Identities reveal + Data Room opens

    Buyer and vendor identities are exchanged. An encrypted, buyer-controlled Data Room opens with view-only access by default.

  7. 07 /

    Vendor signs NDA, submits final quote

    The vendor signs a Data Room NDA, reviews drawings (DXF/STEP/PDF) under permission, and confirms or revises into a final quote.

    Direct milestone payments + ratings

    Buyer pays the vendor directly (wire or CC) on agreed milestones. After delivery, both sides rate each other — permanently.

Vendors select a preferred model on their quote. Final terms are settled directly between buyer and vendor before work begins.

40 / 40 / 20

40% on PO, 40% at material/cut release, 20% on delivery. The market default — balanced risk for both sides.

BUYER PROTECTION
30 / 30 / 40

30% on PO, 30% mid-production, 40% on accepted delivery. Heavier acceptance weighting for first-time engagements.

VENDOR FAVORED
50 / 25 / 25

50% on PO, 25% mid-production, 25% on delivery. Used when the shop carries significant upfront material cost.

Fabmaster collects a flat 10% engagement fee at acceptance. All milestone payments flow directly between buyer and vendor — Fabmaster never holds job funds.
